Using lines derived from three controls and three PD patients carrying LRRK2-G2019S variants, we demonstrate that upon purification the transcriptome of this purified DaNs model closely matches that obtained from mature post-mortem LCM-captured DaNs, and reveals a functionally-coherent set of genes differentially expressed between the case and control lines. The gene discussed is LRRK2; the disease is Parkinson disease.
