CXCL2 and bacterial infectious disease: In fish, several inflammation-related genes, including chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 2 (CXCL2)11, CXCL1012, cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2)13, interleukin-1β (IL-1β)4, 13, 14, IL-815, 16, IL-17A/F217, and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α13, 18, have already been identified and characterized with regard to their involvement in inflammatory responses to bacterial infections.
