Nagashima, et al. 4 found that administration of anti-B7-H3 mAb significantly reduced airway hyperreactivity and decreased production of Th2 cytokines (IL-4, IL-5, and IL-13) in the draining lymph node cells in an asthma model, which indicated B7-H3 may play a critical role in the development of pathogenic Th2 cells. This evidence concerns the gene IL4 and asthma.
