The RAF/MEK/ERK pathway is important in central nervous system tumors (Gierke et al., 2016; Mistry et al., 2015), and with BRAFV600E mutations in more than 50% of select tumors (Penman et al., 2015) there is great potential for the use of BRAFV600E inhibitors.
