Krysiak and coworkers investigated the levels of 25-hydroxyvitamin D and parathyroid hormone in four groups of non-lactating women who gave birth within 12 months before the beginning of the study: group A was composed by hypothyroid women with post-partum thyroiditis (n = 14), group B by euthyroid females with post-partum thyroiditis (n = 14); group C by women with non-autoimmune hypothyroidism (n = 16) and group D by healthy euthyroid females (n = 15). The gene discussed is PTH; the disease is thyroiditis.
