TRAP1 is undetectable or expressed at very low levels in normal tissue, but is up-regulated in various human malignancies, including ovarian carcinoma cell lines [6], colorectal carcinomas [7], high-grade prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia, Gleason grades three through five prostatic adenocarcinomas [8], and kidney cancer [9]. This evidence concerns the gene TRAP1 and colorectal carcinoma.
