We found that, in subcutaneous implant model, the tumor formation rates of subcutaneous xenografts of HCT116 cells overexpressing WT ASB3, ASB3 mutants G135E, K339I, G135E/K339I, and ΔSOCS were 37.5% (3/8), 75.0% (6/8), 87.5% (7/8), 87.5% (7/8), and 75.0% (6/8), respectively, whereas that of vector-transfected control cells was 75.0% (6/8) (Fig. 4a). The gene discussed is ASB3; the disease is neoplasm.
