More interestingly, out of these 28 genes successfully annotated in the disease susceptibility/mastitis-related QTLs, AJUBA, AQP5, CXCL14, and SCN1A were target genes of bta-mir-223, while KERA, TEX101, and TRIM29 were target genes of bta-mir-21-3p. This evidence concerns the gene CXCL14 and mastitis.
