Recently, many reports have demonstrated that CHIP negatively regulates the expression of various genes including VEGFR2, c-Myc and PRMT5, which mediates proliferation, cell migration, invasion and angiogenesis.6, 9, 28 Therefore, we cannot exclude the possibility of pleiotropic effects of HA-CHIP overexpression on growth inhibition of lung cancer cells, which might represent a limitation of this study. The gene discussed is MYC; the disease is lung carcinoma.
