CLU and breast carcinoma: Breast cancer cells were treated for 24 hours with increasing concentrations (35 nM/mL, 70 nM/mL, 140 nM/mL, 280 nM/mL, 560 nM/mL and 1120 nM/mL) of the PEG-SMRwt-Clu peptide and either PEG-SMRwt, or PEG-SMRmut peptides as controls, both peptides containing the SMRwt sequence inhibited breast cancer cell growth in a dose-dependent manner (Figure 1).
