When the SMR peptide and chemotherapeutic drugs were combined to treat tumor cells, PEG-SMRwt-CLU synergistically potentiated the anti-proliferative effects of the drugs, significantly enhanced the growth inhibitory effect of drugs and blocked exosomes release both MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells, further indicating the potential clinical application of PEG-SMRwt-CLU peptide for the prevention and treatment of human breast cancer. This evidence concerns the gene LYPD4 and breast carcinoma.
