Taken together, the major finding of the present report is that chemical blockages of α7 nAChR could significantly reduce HIV-1 gp120-, METH- and NT-induced BBB injury and CNS disorders by decreasing Aβ transport, leukocyte recruitment, cholinergic signaling, premature senescence of HBMECs and neuronal inflammation. Here, CHRNA7 is linked to central nervous system disorder.
