Among the 29 rats receiving angiotensin II, 45% developed malignant hypertension (MH) assessed by histological hallmark features, illustrated Fig. 1, such as proliferating endarteritis with arteriolar thrombosis, fibrinoid necrosis in vessel walls and/or glomerular capillary vessels (assessed by fibrin deposits). This evidence concerns the gene AGT and malignant hypertension.
