Of note, both plasma CTRP9 and adiponectin levels were inversely correlated with eGFR (Figure 1, Supplementary Tables  1 and  2 in Supplementary Material, available online at http://dx.doi.org/10.1155/2016/8624313), and, accordingly, the plasma levels of CTRP9 and adiponectin were markedly higher in the CKD group than in the non-CKD group (Table 1). This evidence concerns the gene C1QTNF9 and chronic kidney disease.
