Given the key role of HIF-1α in the regulation of genes associated with angiogenesis, tumor resistance, invasion and metastasis under hypoxia conditions (Kim et al., 2015; Li et al., 2009a; Park et al., 2010), further experiments were arranged to investigate how miR-142/HIF-1α axis regulates tumor biological function in hypoxic microenvironment in pancreatic cancer. This evidence concerns the gene HIF1A and familial pancreatic carcinoma.
