Previously, we showed that a transcriptional regulator, TRIP-Br2 (also known as SERTAD2), is specifically upregulated in both white and brown fat in obese mice and we further demonstrated that ablation of TRIP-Br2 protects mice from obesity and associated metabolic dysfunction8, supporting a role for TRIP-Br2 in adipocyte biology and energy metabolism. The gene discussed is SERTAD2; the disease is Obesity.
