With respect to NF1-LGG, selumetinib, a MEK inhibitor that inhibits the growth of a BRAFV600E-expressing PA xenograft (48) and blocks growth in both Nf1 optic glioma (9) and KIAA1549:BRAF-driven NSC glioma (11) models, has been evaluated in a phase I clinical trial (http://clinicaltrials.org #NCT01089101) for pediatric LGG.
