Pargyline, an MAO inhibitor, effectively inhibited the activity of LSD1.20,21 It has been used in the treatment of hypertension22 and is also a promising anti-cancer drug in epigenetic therapy.23–25 On the basis of these clinical applications,20,21 the pharmacokinetics and safety considerations of pargyline have previously been evaluated, which make its translation and potential application in the field of osteoporosis and bone tissue engineering possible and easier.
