A meta-analysis compared results from GP73 assays with AFP, showing that the sensitivities in the diagnosis of HCC were 0.77 (95% CI: 0.75–0.79) and 0.62 (95% CI: 0.60–0.64) for GP73 and AFP, respectively, while their specificities were 0.91 (95% CI: 0.90–0.92) and 0.84 (95% CI: 0.83–0.85)18.
