IFNG and neoplasm: Even though there is limited knowledge regarding the effects of PGE2 on CD8+ cytotoxic T-cells, it has been shown that, as for Th1 cells, PGE2 can inhibit CD8+ T-cell proliferation, suppress cytotoxic CD8+ T-cell actions against the tumor, and, in terms of regulating cytokine production, decrease the production of IFN-γ by CD8+ T-cell clones through a cAMP-dependent pathway [69].
