We also performed the principal component analysis (ggfortify R package) and found that the 29 subtype-specific ceRNA hubs that were dysregulated among all breast cancer subtypes (Wilcoxon Rank Sum test, FDR<0.05) could distinguish the basal-like, HER2-enriched and luminal subtypes, whereas distinguishing the luminal A and B subtypes was not clear-cut (Figure 5E).
