In the current study, we found that downregulation of miR-138-5p was associated with induced autophagy in human pancreatic cancer tissues; however, restored expression of miR-138-5p inhibited the SIRT1/FoxO1/Rab7 pathway-dependent autophagy and subsequent apoptotic cell death. The gene discussed is SIRT1; the disease is familial pancreatic carcinoma.
