Searching markers specific for the copresence of T2D and HCC, our results demonstrated the level increase of three interleukins (IL-2R, IL-16, and IL-18), sIL-6Ra, two chemokines (CXCL1 and CXCL12), ADIPOQ, β-NGF, HGF, and IFN-α and the decrease of leptin in T2D-HCC patients compared to those with only T2D or HCC. The gene discussed is CXCL1; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
