In breast carcinoma cells, Wwox antagonizes the function of YAP (Yes-associated protein), regulating in nuclei the transcriptional activity of tyrosine kinase receptors; overexpression of Wwox suppresses the activity of the transcription factors p73, AP2, Erb4, c-Jun, and Met, sequestering them in the cytosol [42,43]. This evidence concerns the gene WWOX and breast carcinoma.
