Consistently, our data showed increased IL17 mRNA expression levels in the colon tissues of intestinal BD patients along with decreased IL10 mRNA expression levels, which was well correlated with the decreased protein levels of NAALADL2 and YIPF7 in inflamed cells or tissues, including colonic enterocytes from patients with intestinal BD and IBD, the inflamed mouse colon, and LPS-treated HT-29 cells. This evidence concerns the gene IL10 and inflammatory bowel disease.
