No statistically significant difference was found between obese and non-obese patients with PCOS and control subjects in neopterin, IL-6, TNF-α, and neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio levels unlike CRP levels which were significantly higher in obese patients with PCOS compared to obese control subjects, demonstrating the facilitatory effect on serum CRP levels of PCOS patients by disease itself rather than obesity. Here, CRP is linked to polycystic ovary syndrome.
