Recently in a series of 161 SCCHN treated by surgery and postoperative CRT, CD8 but not CD3 was a positive prognostic factor as evaluated in excision specimen [13], while in 101 biopsies of SCCHN treated with definitive CRT, CD3 and CD8 were both revealed as good prognostic factors [12].
