ALB and Hyperbilirubinemia: Increased bioluminescence in the brain region associated with hyperbilirubinemia was modulated by: (i) pharmacological displacement of bilirubin from its albumin binding sites; (ii) alteration of the blood brain barrier permeability; (iii) treatment with minocycline, an inhibitor of microglial activation; or (iv) with the anti-vascular endothelial growth factor antibody bevacizumab.
