GNMT and prostate carcinoma: Two of the eQTLs for PEX6 had been identified for association with prostate cancer from 2 previous studies which revealed rs10948059 and rs9462856 linked to it in European populations, respectively.[18,19] These findings were interpreted that the genetic associations with prostate cancer were produced by regulating the expression of the glycine N-methyltransferase (GNMT) gene that overlaps with the PEX6 gene.
