Recently, HER2, EGFR, PDGFRA and MAP2K1 mutations and FGFR1 amplifications have been identified as plausible innate resistance mechanisms to EGFR targeted therapy in colorectal cancer [15], as well as ALK, FGFR2, NTRK1/2 and RET kinase addition [16].
