Patients with PSS had increased serum levels of Th1 (IL‐1, IL‐2, srIL‐2), Th2 (IL‐6, IL‐10) cytokines, TNF‐alpha, and IFN‐gamma when compared to healthy controls (Baturone et al., 2009; Garcíc‐Carrasco et al., 2001). The gene discussed is IFNG; the disease is peeling skin syndrome.
