TP53 mutations were considered infrequent in ALL (Hof et al., 2011; Chiaretti et al., 2013; Saha et al., 2013) and were correlated with cytogenetic alterations, like low hypodiploidy, or MYC-rearrangements (Holmfeldt et al., 2013; Stengel et al., 2014). Here, TP53 is linked to acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
