Certainly, the knock down of Cntnap2, which is similar in structure to NRXNs and classed as an autism susceptibility gene, causes abnormal neuronal migration, affecting both cortical projection neurons and interneurons, in transgenic mice (Peñagarikano et al. 2011) resulting in epilepsy and autism-like behavioral deficits.
