Increasing evidences suggest that Rap1GAP function as a tumor suppressor through inhibiting proliferation, impairing cell invasion and metastasis and accelerating apoptosis [8, 14, 15, 17]; however, some studies indicated that an increased expression of Rap1GAP promoted tumor invasion and induction via MMP9 secretion [6, 12]. This evidence concerns the gene RAP1GAP and neoplasm.
