To determine whether pro-angiogenic factors other than VEGFA is also involved in CITED2 angiogenic effects in MDA-MB-231 tumors, we also examined the expression of Interleukin 6 (IL-6), Fibroblast growth factor 2 (FGF2), Angeopoietin-1 (ANGPT1) and Semaphorin 3C (SEMA3C), all of which are known to play a prominent role in tumor angiogenesis [30–33].
