In vitro exposure to lipopolysaccharide (LPS) or infection with L.m. resulted in iNOS expression in a subset of responding BM CD115+Ly6C+ cells (up to 38%) that remained mostly MHCIIlo (Figure 4A), unless these cells were treated with interferon-γ (IFN-γ), which increased MHCII expression in iNOS+ cells (Figure S4B).
