The baseline characteristics of patients with recurrent HCC showed no significant differences according to the detection test, age, gender, etiology of liver disease, platelet count, serum albumin and bilirubin levels, PT, Child–Pugh class, serum AFP level, fibrosis stage, Edmondson–Steiner class, modified UICC stage, and hepatectomy extent (Table 1).
