In participants with prefrail or frail status, they were older, had higher waist circumference, had more histories of hypertension, diabetes, and higher systolic blood pressure (SBP), serum levels of homocystein, high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) and UACR, but significantly lower estimated glomerular filtration (eGFR), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and bone mineral density (BMD) than those were non-frail (all p < 0.05).
