Univariate analysis revealed that age (≥60 years), HCV-RNA (<6.0 logIU/mL), serum albumin (≤4.0 g/dL), GGT (≥55 IU/L), platelet count (≤8.0 × 104/μL), AFP (≥8.0 ng/mL), FIB-4 index (≥3.7), APRI (≥1.25), and WFA+-M2BP (≥2.80 COI) were associated with HCC development. This evidence concerns the gene AFP and hepatocellular carcinoma.
