FOXM1 and neoplasm: Tan et al reported that miR-671-5p is a tumor-suppressor miRNA in breast tumorigenesis by directly targeting FOXM1, and also demonstrated that overexpression of miR-671-5p in breast cancer cells attenuates cell proliferation and invasion, induces S-phase arrest, inhibits EMT and sensitizes cancer cells to cisplatin, 5-fluorouracil and epirubicin exposure [52].
