MAP3K19 and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease: Because MAP3K19 is (1) overexpressed in COPD lungs, (2) expressed in pulmonary macrophages and bronchial epithelial cells, (3) induced by CSE and other environmental stressors, and (4) drives the neutrophil chemoattractant CXCL-8 expression, we wanted to examine the role of MAP3K19 in murine models of COPD.
