Although miR-151 expression levels are positively correlated with the FAK mRNA levels in breast cancers (Fig 2B), our results revealed that ectopic expression of miR-151 represses cancer cell migration and invasion (Figs 4D, 4E and 5B), whereas knockdown of miR-151-3p enhances breast cancer cell migration (Fig 6D). This evidence concerns the gene PTK2 and breast cancer.
