VIPR1 and vibrio infectious disease: VirG- and IpaB-specific IgG antibodies were found in stools from Shigella-infected children enrolled in the GEMS study (A. Buskirk, presented at the 2016 Annual Conference of the U.S-Japan Panel on Cholera and Other Bacterial Enteric Infections, Bethesda, MD, 11 to 15 January 2016), which suggests their contribution to local defenses.
