DPP6 and malignant colon neoplasm: Furthermore, silencing of DPP6 through hypermethylation of its promoter was reported in acute myeloid leukemia [18] and an in vitro neuronal differential model [19], whereas hypomethylation and subsequently increased expression of this gene have been found in colon cancer [20], suggesting that the tumor suppressive role of this gene in epithelial tumors remains unknown.
