There were mounting evidence demonstrating that deregulation of lactate dehydrogenase A (LDHA), which executed the final step of glycolysis by converting the pyruvate to lactate, has been found in many tumors, including prostate cancer, ovarian cancer, breast cancer, osteosarcoma and colorectal cancer, and the upregulated LDHA could facilitate Warburg effect and the progression of tumors [30–35]. This evidence concerns the gene LDHA and colorectal cancer.
