IGF1 and stroke disorder: Strikingly, 5d IGF-1 analysis showed that post-stroke NaB treatment significantly elevated IGF-1 expression by 28% in serum (1097.89 ± 75.51 vs. 859.66 ± 30.22 ng/ml), by 46% in liver (3123.82 ± 245.99 pg/mg protein vs. 2140.81 ± 345.89 pg/mg protein), and by 34% in spleen (996.86 ± 53.78 vs. 746.12 ± 92.41 pg/mg protein) as compared to post-stroke saline treated group (Fig. 8b–d).
