Our current in vivo study demonstrated that immunization with an OMV-based pertussis vaccine (omvPV) in comparison to wPV elicited reduced concentrations of serum pro-inflammatory cytokines (IL-1α, IL-1β, and IL-6), chemokines (CXCL1 and CXCL10), and G-CSF. Here, IL1B is linked to pertussis.
