Blaveri et al. have reported that the SPINT2 and ACTN4 loci on human 19q13 are amplified in bladder cancers [20], while Lindgren et al. have found copy number gain of chromosomal region 19q13.12-q13.2 [22], which has been shown to be associated with aggressive phenotype in invasive bladder cancer [21]. Here, SPINT2 is linked to urinary bladder cancer.
