Interestingly, maraviroc, an antagonist of the CCL5 receptor CCR5 has been approved for clinical use in the treatment of HIV-infected patients,[21] and is investigated in graft-versus-host disease.[22] Hence, our results support the potential effects of maraviroc in the treatment of cardiac allograft ACR, and provide targets for new therapeutic strategies. Here, CCR5 is linked to graft versus host disease.
