Through the meta-analysis, we found that the expression level of HOTAIR was significantly increased in patients with cervical cancer compared with that in patients in the normal control group (SMD = 5.497, 95%CI: 2.218–8.777, P = 0.001; random effects model, I2 = 99.4%), as shown in Fig. 2. The gene discussed is HOTAIR; the disease is cervical carcinoma.
