CASP8 and prostate cancer: We have previously shown in LNCaP and PC-3 prostate cancer cells that LCA (50 and 75 μM, respectively) activates caspases 8, 9 and 3, and that caspase 9 activation was likely secondary to caspase 8-induced truncation of Bid (Goldberg et al., 2013), a finding consistent with those of Iizaka et al. (2007).
